Factory Reset - can you do this from the desktop software?

I have a replacement 9900, so need to wipe the old data from the phone and return it to factory status, before returning it.

I cannot do this inthe phone as when i turn it on, it now asks for my Blackberry ID.

So can I do this from the desktop software?

Please use plain text.

Hi simon_a6,

If u have activated BB Protect, then i believe there is an option in the BB Protect site to wipe out data online...Thats basically a security option by which one can delete his/her data if the BB has been stolen...

with regards

But how does it seem my device via the web site, if my SIM is now moved to the new one (and won't work in the old one)?

Surely "Delete Data" on Desktop MAnager will do it ?

Simon, connect to the Desktop > run the Desktop Software > Device > Delete all databases.

Or install BBSAK and wipe the device.
