Now sure from when its not working. Yesterday i tried to take a photo and the flash light did not work, tired video - nogo. Any work around or should i just take it to the service center?

Which BlackBerry device you have ! As for workaround first do your backup and then you try Reloading your device OS without installing any third party application after OS reload to rule out any Software issue .

If that fails and problem still persist then you have to visit your Service provider.

Have you tried to reload your device software as suggested , Or try this Knowledge Base to see if its an hardware issue :
KB16037 : Using the Self Test application on the BlackBerry smartphone
If your device fails the test then you may have to visit your service provider

Hi There,
Tried the hardware test however while testing camera the flash light did not come ON!
Do u think that i should try to reinstall the OS completely or just take it to the service center?

Well , Sorry to hear that you device can't get pass the Self test , Might be something wrong within your device and have to take it to a Service Center as a last resort but still to get your device repaired it might take a week and trying a OS reload will just take 30 min. If I were in our postion then I would first try an OS reload and if that doesn't help then I will visit and repair shop or service center to get it repaired .
Don't forget to do a backup of your device before visiting any Service center.

I checked with the service center and they said it would take aleast 10 working days which shall be not possible as i am travelling next week.
I have already taken a backup of my device. I shall try to erase and install a fresh OS.
Can you help with the instructions? Its a BB 9780 Bold.
