"Useful" is such an individually-dictated word...I recommend that you evaluate your specific needs, and then look at the available alternatives for your situation. There likely are several solutions, but your needs will dictate which will work for you. Of course, "free international calling" is something that is normally not available...at least not with those specific words...as in, for you to call free from, say India, to a land line in, say Russia...not likely to be available. But, if partners in each country are using the same VoIP solution, then perhaps there may be a solution.
