When I send email from Outlook on my computer through my Gmail account, the sent email shows up not once, but twice on my BB. There is a check mark next to the email like other sent email has.
I don't understand why any email sent from my computer shows up on my BB in the first place. I have Hotmail and Yahoo accounts and email sent from my computer do not show up on my BB.
How do I fix that? I am NOT on an Exchange server. I've look in Outlook and can't find anywhere to change it. I've look at the webserver for Gmail and can't find anything there either.
Thanks!

That check mark is the sent email. Its not a duplicate. Go to your gmail messages, click the menu button and go to options. Choose message display and actions. Check the box that says Hide sent messages. Save and that should take care of it.

I'll try that. But it does show twice on my Blackberry and I just discovered every email I send shows up two times in my Gmail sent folder in Outlook as well. So it may or may not be Blackberry. I sent a test email to another of my email addresses. I received it once, it shows sent twice a minute apart.
Thanks! I'll let you know if it works.

ok thanks! I think outlook could be doing something to affect this too. I'll wait to hear from you.

I clicked hide sent messages. But it hides everything, even messages sent from the phone which I do need to see. So that is not the correct fix. I've looked everywhere on Google and Outlook and can't find an answer except for those on the Enterprise server.
It has to be something with Outlook. Sending from the phone does not dupicate it. Sending from Gmail webserver does not duplicate it.
Thanks for trying!

I agree. Without knowing the settings on your outlook client, can you remove and readd the account to see if that works? I recommend using imap vs pop3 settings.

I am using IMAP already. I thought about deleting the account and readding it. Not confident though.
thanks!

I'd say go for it!

Well, I deleted and added the gmail account. Just doing that did NOT fix it. However, going into the account properties, there is a tab for sent messages. I unchecked the "do not save sent messages". There is no explanation about duplicating the sent and where they go. It still saves them, but only one copy. Go figure.
Thanks for your help!
