Is it possible to download and install Google Maps on Blackberry Bold 9700?
I've looked everywhere but no luck.
I've tried Google links but all I get are Google error screen messages.
Has anyone tried and was successful in installing Google Maps on the phone or is this mission impossible?

That is not for BlackBerry. Download it at BlackBerry World.
If user want to install Google Maps on there BlackBerry then using there BlackBerry browser should browse through this link http://dl.google.com/dl/mobile/maps/BlackBerry-47/
I assume you already have a BlackBerry Data Plan in your SIM account !
After downloading Google maps have you rebooted your device by removing the battery while it is Powered On ? If not then do it .
In addition if you're inside your home then move outside or while on an open lawn launch Google Maps . Also In your device , Homescreen > Options > Device > Location Settings > Be sure Location Services are TURNED ON .

Thanks for the reply.
I don't think this is the Google Maps I had on my previous BB's.
That one was the one with traffic function, etc.
This one is not it.
Has it disappeared or has Google stopped supporting BB?

If you have an old backup, you can try restoring the backup with Google Maps.
It's not just Blackberry, when iOS6 came out. iPads and iPhones lost Google Maps as well. A few months later, it came back to the iPhone, but not for the iPad. There's rumors it will be back for iOS7.
Instead of an app, Google maps has a mobile version you might be able to use with the browser. It's what Z10 and Q10 users use. On my Q10, it works great with traffic and other features. https://maps.google.com
Google has a habit of discontinuing ideas that are not profitable. Many are upset when Google Reader was dropped last month.
