So I went to Application Management and changed all the permissions to ALLOW but nothing changed and it still gives me the same error.

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
Now, try Google Maps again.
Also, do you have a BlackBerry data plan on your mobile account for this device?

Hi
I just re-installed Google Maps and rebooted my BB9900, set all permissions to "Allow", but get exactly the same result! It says some BB devices need reconfiguration etc.
Can you please help?
Thanks

As far as I know, the 9900 needs no special configuration to run Google Maps.

Hi
Thanks for your prompt posting.
Yes I do have a data plan - I'm using BB's BIS data plan and e-mail and internet works fine.

Nope, I cannot answer this question - I'm one of those experiencing the problem and who asked the question initially!
