Green light won't turn off

Hi,

The green indicator light in the top right corner will not turn off. It's been on for over a week now, and remains on even when the phone is powered down. I even let the battery drain completely, and it remained on. Also, the other indicator lights, do not seem to be working.

My friend recently knocked my phone off of a table, and while I have a case for it, I'm wondering if the two might be related.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Re: Green light won't turn off

While you said you powered the device down, Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Re: Green light won't turn off

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work. I tried it twice, and both times the green light came back on as soon as the battery was back in and stayed on. Any other ideas? Thanks again.

Any other ideas, or do I need to take it into the shop? Thanks again.

Re: Green light won't turn off

At this point, I'd definitely get a warranty exchange on the device.. yea, take it to the shop.

Re: Green light won't turn off

OK this is what you do:

Options>display>screen display>

then you scroll down to backlight

then check off LED coverage Indicator

I know many have told you this but there is another step then you take out your battery for 10-15 seconds then put the battery back in then the green light will be gone.

Like if this worked for you
