HELP! Bold 9780 - nothing working

Hello,

 

Really hope someone can help with this issue.

 

I recently upgraded from my 8330 to a Bold 9780 (v6.0.0.285 platform 6.5.0.54) on Bell Canada's network - when i woke up this morning and turned my phone on, it took a good 8-10 minutes from the Home screen to load. Once it did finally load i got a dozenor so error messages which all appeared to be Java related.

 

I did a battery pull and tried again but unfortunately got the same result. 

 

Here are a few of the messages I get:

 

Uncaught exception: Java.lang.error

Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0xf405d42294c6940e) timeout

Uncaught exception: Java.lang.error

Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0x1c26ebcd7b130582) timeout

Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0xf405d42294c6940e) timeout

Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0x7491f7b6ae80681a) timeout

Uncaught exception: Java.lang.error

Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0xf405d42294c6940e) timeout

Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.waitfor (0x79a47873b7e8b4e0) timeout

 

Etc.

 

Once i've clicked ok to all of these errors i have very limited access to the phone. I can make/receive calls, open my calendar, messages, camera however i cannot launch BBM, Facebook App, Twitter App, etc.

 


One last thing, when i connect my BB to Blackberry Desktop Sofware, i get the following error message: Blackberry Desktop Software cannot communicate with the connected

Try remove flash card and fully reboot by removing battery,see how it work. If not helped go to next step.
Try to wipe device (it will be delete all your information) Options-Security-Security wipe, choose also remove all installed application.
After that wait until normal boot device then restor only needed information (AddBook,SMS,messages)
Try it, if not helped it will be mean reinstaLl frimware.

Hi,

Try to boot in Safe Mode  - KB17877 - How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

 

Have you backup of your device?

 

Try to connect to PC with installed Desktop Manager and do backup of your device (you need only your address book messages sms) and also if Desktop Manager suggest to repaire your device - accept it.

 

Here step-by-step instruction how to reload OS with separate way (if one way have trouble, try another)

 

Rememmber that if you haven't backup of your device reloading OS can cause to loose your information.

I have the exact same problem on my 3-month old 9780 bold mobile, but the thing is i havent done any memory back-up in my Pc, and when i try to connect the limited-screen phone i still can access, the Pc won't recognize the phone. 

So, before trying the Security Wipe-out, i would like to know if i'll lose all my contacts, sms and email messages? and most importantly, i want to know if ill lose my BBM Contacts as well.
