HELP - DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED

Blackberry Bold 9000 software 5.0

Desktop Software 6.1 (preferred)

 

 

Issue:  Today I backed up the blackberry w/o any problems.  I started to reload the software using the desktop manager and had to add the latest to the BB software to the DTS and disconnected the BB as instructed.  After the download I reconnected the BB and the computer did not recognize the BB (password wasn’t requested) nor does the DTS recognize the BB.  I have uninstalled the DTS and reloaded.  I have ensured that in the DTS the 5.0 BB software is there.  When I tried to update on the web at:

http://ca.blackberry.com/software/smartphones/update/blackberry7-os.html#?IID=ca:bb:software:devices... under “update on the web” the PIN is not shown so there seems that the BB isn’t being recognized.  When it is connected to the computer it does get charged, and the question is asked “do you want to turn on mass storage mode? Etc.  Any suggestions on how to get the BB9000 to recognized by the computer and DTS?  thanks

Nope. When I try this for the DTS 6.1 no options come up at point 3. .? How do I get these options? #3 on? Thx
