I bought my Bold in Aug. 2009 and it's is hands down the worst phone I have ever owned.
Like you no matter how I think it's getting better it manages to get worse. My speaker phone does not work at all and they say - too bad your problem!
RIM does not care about you or I or our phones.
Best to go shopping and find a new one.

Sorry to hear that. Besides my keyboard an mute button issues, I have to say it's a pretty good phone. It is supporting my work, it's fast, have no problems with automatic restarts like with my old windows phone.
But never the less, I really need a phone I can rely on. There is no way that I have to turn off my phone for three to five days at a dry place, only because the humidity is to high. Excause me, but why do I have a mobile wich informs my about my emails right away and I can be reached everywhere, when I have to turn it off?
Maybe a new firmware will fix the problem. I will try it the next days.
