The problem started occuring just today..
Untl yesterday I was able to stream any video on youtube no problem. But today suddenly whenever I click on the play button on the video, nothing happens! It's as if the play button is embedded in the thumbnail and isn't doing anything.

I tried using opera mini browser and it works through that....IMO m.youtube.com on the OEM browser won't fetch the .3gp link as I just can't click on the play button!

I've tried security wipe, reset by taking out the battery and also clearing all cache,cookies etc from the browser. The same problem still persists..please help!

FYI i'm able to play the videos in the normal desktop version of the site via HTML5, same goes for other video streaming websites like dailymotion.

I'm having the same problem. Started yesterday. Phone froze while I was watching a youtube clip so I reset it. I'm able to watch embedded youtube clips but anytime I go to the mobile site, it won't allow me to click the play button. Any suggestions?

Already tried clearing the cache including cookies, passwords, everything..the problem started occuring since today morning.

Same here, I woke up yesterday with this problem. I thought I messed up my phone, but I knew that there's something wrong with youtube as the other browsers like opera is working with it.

I just bought this phone last week, and I've consulted the carrier network with this---they said it's the youtube site's problem.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one facing this problem..I've already sent feedback to google before posting here, lets see if they reply..until then, those who are facing the same problem please post here so we can figure out if this problem is happening to all bb users or a particular group of users.

Anyone who has OS 7.1 should try using m.youtube.com on the default browser right now and check if you're facing the same problem as stated in the first post.

I used this one but there may be better players on there as a workaround.
