HTML settings and BBM - desperate for help

Problem with the Device:

 

Hello,

 

I bought my Blackberry from Canada.. and had Bell mobility service from there. Everything was working fine. Recently I just moved to Saudi Arabia and got my service from Al Jawal net.

 

Before getting the service from Al Jawal net I upgrade my device software and my desktop manager to the versions listed below. I got my device checked out by my current service provider and they said everything is okay with the service and they can not figure out what is wrong with the device.

 

I am missing HTML setting and Images settings from my Email settings in messages. My BBM is not working either, my friends are able to receive my invites and my messages but I am unable to receive any thing from them – no messages or invites, pins… nothing. I have been browsing the forum for the past 3 days and I found out that for your BBM to work you have to have HTML settings enabled on your phone.

 

My Email and other Instant messaging services are working fine.

 

I have Blackberry Internet service and not BES.

 

I have reinstalled my OS 3 times already in hopes for a fix but all in vain.

 

I have resent my service books numerous times but nothing changes.

 

Am I missing something really obvious here, I am played around with several settings in hopes of some fix but nothing seems to work.

Patience!  This purely a peer to peer user to user forum.  The volunteers have to dig to work through their own experiences and what they have gleaned from previous posts/problems.

 

Bumping doesn't accomplish anything.

Hello, 

 

I am now able to add people within the country.. but not my friends in Canada... 

what am I doing wrong.

 

My service people are saying everything should work fine and they have no blocks or anything on their end.. 

 

Let me know once you have a solution to the problem.

Ok, 

 

so i just tried adding my friend using Email and he accepted it and he is appearing on my list BUT.. I am unable to receive any messages from him. 

 

he is getting my messages. 

 

I asked him to delete me and i deleted  him on my end. and asked him to add me through email address and i got the invite and accepted it but it still says pending on my end. While on his end  I am on his list but I am unable to receive any messages. 

 

and I am getting this message in my Email when he added me using Email.

ohh and he also disappeared  from the pending list but is not present in my contacts list..

 

just disappears  all together.
