Is there a way to do this when you don't have a PC? I have a Mac and I can't back up my data to the pc.
Thanks

I've had a ticket open with my company helpdesk on this same issue for over a week now and no response. This completely fixed my issue, thank you very much.

Hello. I'm having the same problem... when I updated my device software I somehow got two calendars -- "Default" (with duplicates) and "Desktop" (my correct calendar).
I can back up things no problem but I can't delete -- we're using a corporate BES -- is that because wireless sync is on? I just don't want to risk losing my calendar invites in "Desktop" or show that they've been cancelled or declined....

I did what you said, and when I synced one way from PC to device with outlook it recreated the default (RED ICON ) and placed everything back in "DEFAULT" calendar, not my chosen CICAL default of XXX @yahoo.com
Any other thoughts ?

Another Mac user here - we seem to be the "lost children'. Similar issues have been posted in countless threads with no solutions.
MY situation:
My Calendars show "Groups"; "Default"; (my business email).
I have never joined ANY group - anywhere. I did not create the "default" goprup, and went so far as to delete all "cical" service book entries EXCEPT the pone for my business email - and again, it is ALSO the default.
I would prefer to delete BB Messenger completely - along with all other IM programs. I will never use them.
But with this situation and all current upgrades in place, Desktop Manager (mac) blows out immediately and will not synchronize the calendar(s) at all, and then stalls when syc'ing contacts.
This is REALLY screwing up my work productivity. When is RIM going to take a year's worth of postings on various forums and realize there's a SERIOUS problem?
And THEN fix it?

I've literally been trying to fix the issue of the default calendar duplicates post update and facebook upgrade. Thank you guys! You're awesome!

I know this is two years out of date, but thanks to this thread I've solved my problem, and it might help others if I explain what happened to me.
I installed Gmail on my Blackberry and found myself with two calendars but only one default, so couldn't remove the second one. In fact the second calendar was only appearing because it had data, and as soon as I deleted all calendar data, it disappeared.
I then had to re-sync with my desktop, but that was the easiest part.
The menus for the Curve 9300 are not the same as described in the reply, but it was still easy enough to follow your guide - thanks.

Hi
I have a simple question. How do I remove my default or my BB email calendar from my BB. I am using a Mac and running Desktop Manager 2.0.0. I have read the posts about how to remove the calendar database on a PC but I don't see a similar option on the Mac version of DM. Am I just not seeing it or does it not exist? I would prefer to remove the calendar associated with my BB email account(blackberry.net)
Any ideas?
Thanks
