I'm a user of Blackberry 9700.
I drive a lot hence need the voice dialing function very much. But however, 90% of the time the phone gets what i'm saying WRONG. Been trying for days. I'm using Plantronics Discovery 975.
I understand some experts recommends changing the voice dialing sensitivity but sad to say my 9700 doesn't have voice dialing sensitivity setting. I had tried changing the language over and over again but there's no such option appearring.
Someone please help.

Do you have within your 9700 under Options>Voice Dialing an option to Adapt Voice?
Using this option (if available) trains your device to the characteristics of your voice. If it is available do so whilel using your BT headset.
Unfortunately accents and regional dialects can be interpreted differently and often incorrectly by the voice dialing software. I understand for example that French especially gives the software fits.
Voice adapting should help.

Tried voice adapt already but to no avail.
Been speaking times n times again...
However, if i don't use bluetooth, it works fine... Any other ways???
Really need this function to operate well..

I bought a new BB 9700 3 days back.
Every time i click on voice dial the screen shows "Scanning Contacts. Please wait...." and a blue line runs across the screen and shows "100%" then gets stuck. nothing happens after that

Same thing! Mine gets to 15% then drops back to the home screen. Did a security wipe and reload on Tuesday (it was only getting to 2% then) which got things working fine, but Thursday the problem returned. Bell says it is a hardware problem now, so off to the Bell store today... I got my new 9700 a week ago Monday.
