Help with 9900 before I break it!

Hi. I can't open any email attachments on my 9900. I have followed the online advice but it just keeps saying "more request cannot be completed? Service book info not found". I have sent the service books but still no good. Can any help? Thank ou in advance!

Re: Help with 9900 before I break it!

Have you rebooted the device since you sent the service books?

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Hi. Yeah I rebooted it but still no good. I think I may just have to go to the Vodafone shop and get someone to sort it out as I have tried everything I think:smileysad: It would appear I may need an attachment opening app?

No, there's no such thing.

There IS the BlackBerry Attachment Service which is enabled by a Service Book entry.

Tell me this... what file types are you not able to open or download?

Any and all types. Nothing will open at all. I have connected to Blackberry desktop manager and followed the instructions but still no good.

Followed instructions to do what?

We really need specific answer and information to help you. The fix for this shouldn't be so hard, and I will be very specific about what to do, if you will play along.

Anything that is attached to an email. I have tried to open PDF, word docs, excel docs and nothing will open as it always displays the message I mentioned earlier.

And , is this a personal email setup of your own, or a corporate BES enterprise email account?

Re: Help with 9900 before I break it!

It is my work email account that I set up myself when I got the phone. It has never been a problem with any BB I have had before. I am not all that great with the tech side but I have never had an issue. Ever since I swapped to the 9900 I have been unable to get the same functionality. I am certain it is something I am doing but I have rebooted after sending service books twice and I have attempted to download the BB attachent thingy but hat was not even available when I opened the desktop manager. I don't think I even have it so this may be the problem?
