I have had the 8520 with the BB holster with Prox sensor, and worked perfect.

I've put my new Bold into the given pouch and the prox sensor works.  But it doesn't work in my 8520 holster.

It feels lovely in the holster, but can someone tell me if the sensor on the phone is so precise, that this is because it won't work on the 8520 holster?

Hey Simon,

Each holster is designed to be only used with the model BlackBerry® smartphone is was designed for. The holster uses magnets to tell the BlackBerry® smartphone whether it is holstered, so a holster designed for a BlackBerry® smartphones 8520 may not work with a BlackBerry® smartphones 9900 due to the placement of the magnets within the holster and the BlackBerry® smartphone.

Yes. For all I know the sensor is nowhere near it is on the 8520. Bought one for 9900 now.
