Good day!
I'm searching all over places and found this.
I can't register to BIS though my wireless carier says that the mobile #/SIM I'm using is already registered for a BB plan.
When I check the host routing table, it's empty.
I don't know what to do from this point.
I hope you can help me on this as well.
Thanks in advance.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I can think of a few reasons, and they are all already discussed above in this thread...I'll recap a little for you:
Good luck and let us know!

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support and to see if they can tell you why this is not working for you.
Good luck!

I found the answer to the question.
In terms of Blackberry service (for those people living in the Philippines), better use Globe. They have a way to restore HRT by just sending a text message to have it pushed to your phone.
In my case, I sent BBMAX 50 to 8888 and it pushed the HRT to my phone, as well as registered me for 1 day of unlijmited browsing and BB services (social, email and messenger).
Smart, on the other hand, didn't know what I'm talking about when I mentioned HRT nor Host Routing Table.

Hi,
I have a Tour 9360 that I brought with me to India last year hoping to use the SIM/Gsm compatibility function, and stay in touch the family back in the US. My first service provider (vodafone) happily sent me servic books and my phone registered itself with no trouble. My second service provider (tata docomo) gave me a hard time, but i did a wipe and toyed around with my phone and finally got it to work. Everything was fine. Until last week.
Last week i tried to create a password for my phone, and although it is one I use for other purposes too, somhow the phone got locked and my password would not get accepted. I was forced to do a wipe (and a scrub!), and when it came back to life, everything was gone. I don't care about the contacts because those were backed up. However, in 'setup' the only email option that exists now is for an enterprise account. Unsurprisingly, the Host Routing Table is empty, and it will register afresh either. The network never goes to EDGE, and usually stuck at 'edge', and sometimes go to GSM, eve. And finally, I have been unable to send service books to my phone using tata docomo's BIS website. I have checked, there are no security policies from the OLD provider/server, but when I did the wipe, I did get an email from Sprint (the guys who first provided the phone, but the associated number/account was closed).
I have a sinking feeling this is a lost case, but if you think not, I will be eagerly awaiting your reply.
Fingers crossed,
Samira

After a WIPE, all of the tricks that were done to get it to work are wiped out. You must do those tricks again now that the device has been wiped. I have no way to know what those tricks were...you need to go back to whoever got it to work and do all of that over again.
Good luck!

But can you tell from my IMEI number and PIN if there are any other reasons why this is happening? If not, I shall continue with my half-an-hour a day investment routine to cracking this berry! Being a bit geeky, I can sometimes get carried away and lose track of time!
Thanks again btw, that was really prompt...

Exactly how would you propose I do that? The only people who have access to systems to do such an investigation are employees of BlackBerry as well as the carriers -- of which I am neither. Perhaps you misunderstand what these forums are? These are not anything to do with any formal support from BlackBerry. Rather, these are a user-to-user community of volunteers who try and help each other out. As such, I'm just another user like you...I have no access to any systems to do anything formal at all. To have that looked into, you must work with your mobile service provider as they do have such system access.
Good luck!
