Re: Host Routing Table is Empty. Can't register because no response.

(This is a REPOST IN CASE SOMEONE MISSED IT)....

( My own Solution that works for me )
Hi, I have been having the same issues as everyone on this post ever since I owned the BB9930, basically whenever I switch SIM's and Providers for my BB9930 I usually loose my BlackBerry service even when the provider sees everything fine on their side, after sometime I came to the realization that if I install the SIM card into my old BB9800 that the service would work, which it DOES!..... I tried this few times and always worked for me, the host table gets filled and the blackberry icons shows up quickly on the screen, when all that is set in place, I take the SIM card and install back into my BB9930, and the host table gets filled and blackberry icons show up! Its been working so well that I always take both phones with me when I travel in case I run into such issues again.....I know that this is not a perfect solution, but since Blackberry can't fix this issues and don't admit it even exists, this solution is currently my only way to solve my issues.....

Same problem, however i recently had my curve 9320 replaced by Blackberry, and i want to use blackberry Protect to restore.  it Says, this application does not support your data plan etc..

i look this up and search for how to spolve it and i check my HOst routing table.. It is empty.

I am on a blackberry plan.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):

1) Register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app

2) Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)

  • Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

3) Reboot

  • With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
  • See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support and to be certain that they have properly shifted your plan over to your replacement BB.

Good luck!
