Re: How do you disable the Auto Message Pop-up when taking phone out of holster

Thanks for that info Xandrex but it doesn't work... on my 9790 there is no "Message Display and Actions" menu nor any option, anywhere, to "Auto Open Newest Message..."

I'm on the latest os update.

This is a bit frustrating!  Does anyone have any ideas?

Select your MESSAGES Icon

go to any message and hit the MENU button

Select OPTIONS

Select MESSAGE DISPLAY AND ACTIONS

At the bottom you will see where it you select the AUTO OPEN options for removing from holster.

I repeat: THERE IS NO "MESSAGE DISPLAY AND ACTIONS" MENU!!!  I'm looking at the handset right now, selecting the options you have (re)posted, step by step, and that option simply does not exist.

Settle down!  What I reposted was telling you to be on a message.  if you are on the date tab, you won't get the same options list.  That was not listed previously.

Try this...

Select your MESSAGES Icon

go to any message and hit the MENU button

Select OPTIONS

Select GENERAL OPTIONS

and you should have the option for AUTO OPEN there.
