By doing this blocking, it is a good lesson for the thieves (It seems more than one thieves with their tricks to be a shopper in a mall) and will make clients feeling safety as nobody has an interest to steal their Blackberry. There is nothing anyone here can do to block that device.  You need to contact your wireless service provider for assistance.

The best you can do is maybe wipe your info. SMS is faster than email. There is a way to destroy the system but that requires a response from the phone. LOL. Here (Dominican Republic) there are many skilled outlaw techs. In less than 10 minutes the phone is in service with a new # & pin. All the carrier will do is block the sim (saving your unused time). 2 *apps that monitor SMS are Where's My Phone & Buddy Guard.
