I'm currently on business trip at HK and can connect to wireless connection (wi-fi).
And I also switch off my mobile network so that I will not get international roaming charge, because my mobile carrier is not from Hongkong.
WOuld like to know whether I can online my BBM and other messenger service (e.g. MSN & YM) ?
Because currently I can browse throughout the browser to surf some website but I totally cannot online at BBM and other messenger.
Please help to advise. Thanks.

Yes, you should be able to access BlackBerry Messenger and other instant messaging applications through your Wi-Fi connection. Your data plan will be required for accessing the Wi-Fi network, but once you are connected, you should be able to access data services through your Wi-Fi connection

Without a BlackBerry data plan with your carrier, you're not going to go anywhere on WiFi. No, your phone's browser doesn't actually rely on your carrier data signal when you're browsing via WiFi, but you still have to have the BB data plan in place to connect with WiFi.

This Unfair !!
if we couldnt use BIS sevices such as BBm or messenger and push Email Via WIFi so whats the Advantage of wifi in BB smart phones Blackberry company should solve this proplem & make Wifi activate every single servise in BB i think if BB company do that all of BB users will be glad & iam the first One !
