I have been unable to find a solution on line to stop the annonying app of the day pop-ups. Then are now even coming into my email. I removed all app access to my BB. I have the BB bold 9650. I've been waiting for the new devices, but if this keeps up, I may ditch the whole thing.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Similar to what the others have said...
It is a specific free app you've downloaded, I don't know which one.
You'll need to completely delete that app from your BlackBerry, when you determine which it is.
The messages you're getting.. note the app publisher and and then compare that to the free apps you have installed.

I have not downloaded any free apps. It must have come in with an upgrade. I've deleted everything app but the few I've been using for a long time. Now, I am getting the gold star on the status bar to tell me about a new app. This spam is terrible.

At Options > Advanced > Applications, what all do you have installed?

I have a BB 9650.
Under options -> third party applications
The only one installed is BeBuzz Free. Do you think that is the one?

Yep, I do.
Probably, lol.
Look at the publisher of BeBuzz free and then at the starred notification... are they the same developer or app publisher?

The publisher of the app messages is Parachute moble. How do I get rid of them?

I found the app. It was Gdocs by parachute mobile. I surely hope I do not see any more ads tomorrow am.
