I really need some help with app world please!

Hello!

 

My main problem is that my app world icon always disappear after installing the app (I always reboot the phone and as I check the app is really installed in the phone).

I have a BB Bold 9780 with OS 6.0.294 (905) and having serious troubles with app world. I've tried everything I've been reading in the support forums and nothing seems to work for me!!!  Now I have my phone only with the basic apps, I mean, I haven't downloaded any. The app world is not installed now. When I install the version 4.0.0.55 the problem remains.

If you are trying to download the most recent version of App World then make it sure that your device OS is running versions6.0.0.706 or higher.So you can try Updating your Device OS to a higher version .Or

 

As you are running a lower OS version then please download App World version 4.0.0.55 for that from your BlackBerry Browser browse to  http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3 to download version 4.0.0.55 on your device.

 

But before downloading Uninstall app world from your device ,For that On your homescreen Go to Options > Device > Application Management > Scroll down to Ap world  and delete it from there.Then perform a battery pull restart.then have a try.

 

KB29422  BlackBerry App World icon is missing after upgrading to BlackBerry App World 4.0.0.63 to 4.0.0.65

Ola Rita,

The easiest thing to try is to delete App World from your phone altogether. Go to Options > Device > Application Management, find the App World entry, highlight it and then delete it. Once you've done that, reboot your phone by performing a battery pull - while the device is on, remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, reinsert and wait for the device to reboot. Then, redownload App World by going to http://blackberry.com/appworld on your BlackBerry Browser. That will hopefully get App World back on your phone.

I also noticed that you're not on the most recent OS version available from your carrier, Vodafone Portugal. You may want to consider upgrading your OS to start as this could help with a variety of issues. The most recent OS version for your Bold for your carrier is 6.0.0.668 and can be manually downloaded from the following link:

To install it to your phone, download it to your computer, install it on your computer, then use the BlackBerry Desktop Software to upgrade your device.

Thanks a lot for your help!

 

The only thing I haven't already tried was to upgrade the OS and after doing that, everything - including the latest app world version - is working just fine!! Finally!!
