I have a bold 9900. I have recently changed my email server to an IMAP server but the Blackberry still reads POP.
*I have deleted the account and recreated it but it is created as POP.
* I have tried entering an incorrect password in email set-up and then entering the server address but it still goes to POP.
* I have run an Account Validation and i can see that my email address has a POP and an IMAP entry.
*I have spoken to my server hoster and they know that their server can be accessed by Blackberry.
Any ideas?

If the server is configured for IMAP, there really shouldn't be anything different on your end in setting up the BlackBerry email.
