With a response like that, Dodo will be extinct like the bird very soon. They're contracted by RIM to offer support, not pass you off to others.
On your homescreen, follow Manage Connections>Mobile Network Options. Under Network Selection Mode, I set it to Automatic and under Network Mode, I set it to 3G & 2G. If it doesn't work properly, you can try toggling between the options there. If Dodo supports 3G, your phone should pick it up using those settings.
