Internet slow and unable to download files

I have a Blackberry Bold 9780, my internet works perfectly however on attempting to download files it begins downloading but very slowly and an error message comes up saying download failed. This has only been happening recently and prior to this I was able to download large files with no hassle. Please help???

Hello!
Try this first - with the power on pull out the battery and leave it for 20 seconds. It will restart and reload the OS.

Try kosten4's suggestion of removing the battery while your phone is powered on.  However, please note that it does not reload the OS as stated by kosten4, it clears the phone's cache and allows the phone to run smoother and quicker.
