I just upgraded to the Blackberry Bold 9790 and I must say, I am extremely disappointed. Let me start by saying I am no stranger to blackberry devices, having used four different devices prior to the 9790.
But the single greatest disappointment with the 9790, (together with all its other flaws - which there are countless of) is the battery. I've never had a device that only lasted 5 hours under one charge. I literally need to bring the charger everywhere I go. I`ll admit that I use my phone quite heavily at work, but a 5 hour battery life for a predominantly business-oriented phone is unacceptable. Is this normal???
I`ve already been very tolerant of the other flaws - (poor interface, hardware that are 2 gens behind, laggy software) and dont think im being unreasonable. Not to mention Im a technology analyst and am starting to feel embarassed carrying my blackberry around. Can someone please explain what is going on??? If this carries on, Ive ought to convince my IT dept to start switching vendors.. and do all my other colleagues a favour.
