JVM Error 505

I have just downloaded the latest software update for my Blackberry Bold and since then my facebook app didn't work properly.  I then tried to reinstall the fb app and now the phone has come up with a JVM Error 505 and it won't reset. I have taken the battery out and put it back it back in but it still comes up with the same message.  How do i get my phone operating again?
