Keyboard Light

How do I control when the light goes on and when it goes off?

Open the Options icon and click on Screen/Keyboard. The BackLight timeout will give you options. As for the keyboard, you cannot control the light on that.

Re: Keyboard Light

Thanks Diffuse! It's hard to believe that a phone as sophisticated as the BB Bold doesn't have a keyboard light control. :smileysad:

Re: Keyboard Light

Hi Diffused,

I've done as you suggested, and found that on the BB Bold 9650 the keyboard light illuminates when the surrounding light is dimmer then the setting for the devise!

Thanks

Re: Keyboard Light

Yes, you are correct there. I had the 9630 before my 9650 and the keyboard light always turned OFF in the dim/dark. My rig was putting Black electrical tape over the LED (I always kept a spare piece under the battery cover). LOL. Glad this one works!

Re: Keyboard Light

LOL...Diffused...I like your rig..But I'm still not sure why we would need to resort to fooling the phone into doing what it should be designed to do (as a user friendly device). This ain't your K-mart $19.99 variety phone.  I'm still trying to figure out how to view my calendars (3) separately. Any (rigs) for that?

Thanks

Re: Keyboard Light

Please explain the calendar problem. If you open the calendar, menu, select calendar and all your email addresses, or select all, will give you a calendar view.

Re: Keyboard Light

And you asked, "I'm still not sure why we would need to resort to fooling the phone into doing what it should be designed to do (as a user friendly device).". Sometimes these operating systems have bugs in them that get worked out in a new OS update.

Re: Keyboard Light

Good Evening Diffused,

My calendar dilemna goes as follows: I am an iPhone 3G-S user. On that device I can maintain and display 3 separate calendars using 1 email address in Outlook for 2 of the calendars and 1 in Windows Mail for the other. (I'm an administrative assistant and keep the calendars for my boss and the choir). The 3rd calendar is my personal one.

The problem is my inability to view the calendars separately. Do you know of a way to have BB recognize my three calendars and display them separately?

Much thanks for your help.

Re: Keyboard Light

I dont believe that you can view three separate calendars for one email except for possibly through a third party app. You might try a google search and see.
