Keyboard not functioning; can't enter password to do a back-up - please help!

Hi there,

I had the unfortunate experience of dropping my BB Bold 9900 on my foot (and subsequently the floor).

The red light goes on but nothing else. The keypad in particular is not working one iota.

 

If I connect the device to my laptop to do a back-up (in the hopes that a fullreload of software will fix things) I get stuck as it requires me to enter my password on the device as content protection in enabled.

Is there a workaround way to either enter my password on my laptop only or remove the content password requirement remotely?

Hello Gomoxie,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

 

There is no way to bypass an enabled password to restore this data. if you cannot recall the correct password you will not be able to restore existing data from this device.
