Keyboard not responding. Help please!

Hi there!

My BB bold 9790 keeps hanging and doesn't respond at all. It keeps hanging more often now and sometimes when i want to unlock it and press enter it doesn't respond. When i press the back key, it also doesn't respond. And when disconnecting phone calls, it takes a few minutes for it to show that it disconnected. Moreover, when i scroll up/down slowly, it also stops responding. Basically, it doesn't respond well.

So I just wanna know is it due to the apps I downloaded? or is it a glitch that needs to be repaired? or a software problem?

Re: Keyboard not responding. Help please!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Best!

Hi there! Thanks for your help!

What i did was to change the settings of how fast you type and the sensitivity of the middle button!

it reduced the number of times the phone hangs. if it does hang after that, i followed your advice with the battery pop reboot! (:
