Ah, ive just sorted it!! The TTY was enabled, that mutes the keypad!! Worth remembering. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

ahh... yea, good to know. You might also find it silent if your Silent or Vibrate mode in Profiles is enabled... I can't remember.
