LED Coverage/New Message light not working!

My LED light has just stopped working. I have no idea why. I am looking for any help I can get.

 

Things I have checked:

I have LED/coverage light indicator checked in display settings.

It is checked to work within the sound profiles.

I am not in bedside mode.

 

I have rebooted my phone before and that does fix it, however it always stops working again.

 

Any ideas of what might be causing this?

Hiya!
I am curious if there is a way to test the LED's other functions such as when it flashes when a bluetooth device is connected. Also, If you hold ALT+right shift+ DEL it will powercycle the device, but the LED should go red while you do it. does any of this cause the LED to illuminate?

When I do the Alt right shift delete, the LED light lights up red and then it reboots the phone. I have never used it for bluetooth, so I don't know about that...

 

All I know is that after a while of the phone being on, the LED disappears. If I pull the battery and reboot, it reappears...it's very strange.

Ok, so the LED itself is functional, you said you made sure that the option for it to be on is definitely checked?
Is it still an issue after that restart?

Nope!

After I restart normally or pull the battery, the light comes back on. I just don't know why after some time of being on it just shuts off.

 

Sounds crazy, but I think my charger makes my phone possessed. My husband and I had to get our phones replaced because they kept freezing to the point where you had to hold Alt down to scroll at all. They don't do that now with the new ones so much, but it seemed to me like it was always worse when the phone was plugged in, or right after it had been unplugged.

 

I think the phone does the same thing with the LED indicator. THe charger has a mind of its own...:Eek:
