Lost picture in media file?

I received a picture via Bluetooth then I deleted it and the whole file got deleted in media file tried to turn off the blackberry bold 9700 and take if the battery and memory card but it still the file didn't recover.

Can you clarify, please? You received a picture (which, btw, is a file). You deleted it. And then the whole file got deleted in media file? I'm not sure I understand that part...
