MP3's copied to Blackberry Bold (9000) don't display in phone's Songs section under Media

I have installed the Blackberry software from the Blackberry CD that came with my Blackberry Bold (9000). Additionally, I have installed the Blackberry Media Sync and ITunes software. When I connect my Blackberry phone to my computer with a USB cable, the phone is immediately recognized and assigned a drive letter. I have been able to use the Blackberry software, ITunes program, and Windows Explorer to copy MP3 files from my computer to my Blackberry phone. When I browse to the drive letter that has been assigned to my Blackberry phone, I see the MP3 files on the Windows drive letter that has been assigned to my phone. However, when I use my Blackberry phone to open the Media section and then the Music section and then click on All Songs, I get a message that says "No Songs". This message also displays whenever I click on any other options: Artists, Albums, Genres, Playlists, Sample Songs, and Shuffle Songs,

What needs to be done so that I can play MP3 files that have been copied to my Blackberry phone?

For starters, With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. On reboot, give the BB about  2-3 minutes to scan the Media Card before accessing the Media  Card.

Now, also, please know the the BlackBerry will not play or recognize DRM protected iTunes. Those will require you to have the DRM removed before using on the BlackBerry.
