Media card not available for media sync but it is available via USB drive connection

Hello,

Just upgraded my Desktop Manager from Version 5.x to 6.1.0.36.  I also upgrated my 9700's firmware to 6.0.2921.

I have an 8GB media card.  It is accessible via explorer.  My bold can access it and play my music on it.  Since the upgrade, it is not seen as an available device for media sync. I get the "Consider using a media card on your device" message.

In other articles, it was suggested to reformat the media card. I did and I still have the same issue.  It was also suggested to turn compression off.  I did and I still have the same issue.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

MIke

Re: Media card not available for media sync but it is available via USB drive connection

Hey Mike,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

I can definitely help you out with this issue.  First I suggest removing the battery and placing it back in and then connect it to your computer and see if Media Sync picks up the BlackBerry®.

Also try rebooting the PC as well and this should resolve your issue.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hello ViciousFerret,

Thanks for the hint, but I get the same issue.  Removing the battery did not work.  And my notebook computer is always freshly started from scratch.  I don't hyberante.  What is weird is that I see it as a drive letter.  Someone suggested to change the drive letter.  It's not on B:.  I went on the BB and formated the media card. Still the Desktop Manager is unable to see it.
