I backed up my memos to my computer via Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac (successfully, said the popup). But it deleted all the memos in my phone too. So I said OK, since I just backed the memos up, I can just Restore them to my phone. But no, the Data File that I backed up reads 0 records for memos! I had close to 80 memos, and I need them badly. I still have the data file, but it still reads 0 records. Any help, gentlemen?

Something else must have happened. A backup does not delete data from the handheld device.
Did you sync to Entourage or something?
Look at your device > Options > Status > Menu key > Database Sizes.
Scroll down to Memos. What are the numbers to the right?
It will look something like 56/231k, or hopefully not 0/0k

At first I synced to Apple Mail Notes. But after that I synced to Entourage as well, when I couldn't get the result I wanted.
And I can only go to Options > Status
I don't have a Menu key option.

Thank you for your advice on this post. I have a similar problem but perhaps caused differently.
I backed up my Blackberry through Blackberry Desktop Software and then upgraded to the latest version of software for my Bold 9700. However the install crashed and my Blackberry was unusable.
I reinstalled but this failed again so tried downgrading to the previous version of software.
This installed but when I restored from my backup, all of my installed applications including paid ones, plus the Memo app and all memos are gone.
I have checked my database as you suggest but Memo is not even showing.
Are memos backed up as part of the backup? Could they be hidden on my device or memory card somewhere?
Thank you for any help.
