My Blackberry won't start

Hi!

I am worried, yesterda my blackberry froze for more than ten minutes so I turned it off and since then it can't start properly. It loads the Blackberry screen then seems to ask for an autorisation for an app but I can't even see which one since it turns off imidiately displaying the SFR (my operator) screen. Then again wihout me touching it red light, then BB screen and close, and it carries on and on and on...

Can somebody help?

Re: My Blackberry won't start

While is it ON in that error screen, would you try removing the battery (NOT powering off) for about a minute, and reinsert the battery.

What happens?

Re: My Blackberry won't start

See if you can start the BlackBerry up in Safe Mode and perform a backup of the device.

Article ID: KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877

After the back up is complete, I'd recommend you use BBSAK to wipe the device and reload the operating system.

You will need to use BBSAK or JL_Cmder to wipe the device and subsequently load the OS to the device. Follow the instructions here:

Re: My Blackberry won't start

Hi, first of all thank you for giving me some of your time.

Trying to start in safe mode is one of the things I have tried and that didn't work.

My phone keeps restarting again and again without me touching anhything (even if I do...)

Do you have an other idea?

Re: My Blackberry won't start

Thank you it worked and hopefully I was able to reuse my previous saves (can't recall if it is the right word). I will abuse your time if you allow me and ask, I have now a problem with the restauration it freezes at 46/154 for the handheld key store objects, independently of the time I saved my phone, what is this and why won't this be restaured?

Re: My Blackberry won't start

I have discovered that kemy BB won't load the saved data. For exemple I have e mails missing, It can only load 84 of my 187 contacts stored in my saved data, Can this be fixed with a software?

On your BlackBerry look st options > device > status and press your menu key to Database Sizes. What is the size of your address book?
