 isn't compliant when I upgrade & downgrade to 3G or 2G respectively. It selects network itself without my instruction and it's not like I selected "3G & 2G". My network (Glo) says its not from them. What do I do?

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you explain exactly what is happening in more detail? For example, do you lose your connection when it switches from 2G to 3G and vice versa? Or is your phone simply switching from 3G to 2G when you don't want it to?

Take for example, everyone can either goto 3G from 2G and vice versa on their phones just by upgrading or downgrading their selection. As for my phone, it can't do that. Each time I select 3G while it's on 2G, it doesn't respond to the selction, neither does it comply when I go for 2G when it's on 3G. The phone just selects the one it prefers by itself. Thanks for the concern. I hope I get a lasting solution to this.

This is very much possible and you should be able to dictate your phone what it should choose. Consider reinstalling/updating your device OS.

I just updated my OS to 7.1 from my Network provider's 3G office. But still to no avail! Any further suggestion?

It could be a restriction from your carrier (i.e. they may not allow you to manually switch between the networks - I know some carriers just have the 3G & 2G option). But if you do have the 2G, 3G, and 3G & 2G options available, then one thing to try is to simply start with a battery pull - while the device is on, remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, reinsert and wait for the device to reboot.

If that still doesn't work, then you may have a bit of a software glitch. What software version do you have installed on your device? You can get this info by going to Options > Device > About Device Versions. It's the number listed after v. (e.g. 6.0.0.xxx).

V 7.1.0.3442 Platform 5.1.0.276, that's my new OS version. I had to upgrade to it from the default 9900 OS (7.0) because I was experiencing this problem. Now it's still the same story!
