I recently bought a new Bold 9900 not only to try the new revolutionary BB but also in the effort of giving support to BB instead accepting different hardware providers!
Well the result was no too exciting the new bold 9900 is certainly a good evolution of my previous 9000 but quite unsatisfactory for many aspects (battery life above all, then quality of the camera, poor connection and stability , and other minor things). The reason for me to write is however linked to the complete dead of my smartphone just after 30days of use!!
In fact I recharged it overnight as usual and in the morning the smartphone was turned off with the red led slowly blinking and the phone not responding even to battery pulls or whatsoever. I was not able to revitalize it at all!! Even connecting it to my Desktop manager didn't help, the connection is not recognized and a back-up is also impossible.
TIM Italy says that the phone (and the battery) is not under their warranty.
Is it acceptable that the state of the art new BB smartphone which cost >600euro phone, will last for 30days, is it aceptable that RIM did not recall back all the phones knowing that this is a common problem? (see also http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-
I've been looking through BB website to better understand to who, and what is the address of the right office to write to. After hardly finding an e-mail address (help@rim.com), that's the answer received from BB to my enquiry:
"Thank you for contacting BlackBerry Technical Support. The email you submitted has not been delivered. Please find many alternative support options below." and guess what?.... none of the option will give you the chance to speak or write to someone direclty, you just have to find the solution on your own!!
At this point I have a big doubt... would this be the same answer and service that I will get from apple????
Will my new Bold 9900 live once again? how?
Please share your experience
