AT&T has the most recent official release at 188.8.131.52.
Just delete the vendor.xml file and upgrade.

I've been having probs with my Bold since I upgraded from Pearl(Vodafone UK)
Vodafone say there's no new software.
Upgraded to v162 after seeing your msg(piece of cake)
I'll see how it goes and let you know
it's been saying "congestion" when I try to phone someone then resets
Hopefully, this cures it
Thanks a lot

I gotta tell ya I'm not at all happy with .162. I'm a Rogers Bold customer and I've used .124, .146 and now this one. The earleir devise OSs worked fine with my Motorola 500 hands free. I've been using .162 for a couple weeks I guess and this version has all kinds of trouble with my hands free. It fails to connect at least half the time when unholstered and maybe 9 times out of 10 when hostered. Can I go back to that nice French Orange distributed .146? For the week or so I used it, memory drain was not too bad, all independent apps worked fine (Google Mobile, Viigo, etc.) and most importantly, I cold get my hands free to connect every time I hit the button. Maybe I'm frustrated but I'd argue that the voice recognition was better on the earlier OS versions too.

So far so good.
I'm managing to make calls OK
Also noticed power management seems better. Battery seems to be lasting longer.
Hopefully, this is the end of the probs....
Great info,,,thank you
