There won't be much heartache... you will get the new number/contract and have the BIS data plan added to the account. Once you pop in the new SIM in the device, you should be good to go -- as long as the BIS plan has been activated on the plan and provisioned to the SIM.
The SIM swap 'should' deactivate the PIN on the old number/account and transfer to the new account.
If you are NOT, a phone call to Voda to verify that your 9700 device was removed and not in use on the old account -- and has been added to the new account, is all that is needed.
