Hola!

You need to get MAPS to work first. Check out the HOW TO here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=Bold&thread.id=940&view=by_date_ascen... .

Also, for free MSN/AOL etc... get Webmessenger. It's free! Uses your data package which is unlimited (up to 250Mb / month) on Orange.

Hope this helps...?

Re: New to blackberry bold on orange

While trying to get blackberry maps working on my Orange UK phone I saw the article below.  Orange Customer Service confirm the facts in the article and refused to take back the phone since it has been over 7 business days.

Has anyone else had issues with Blackberry Maps on Orange UK Bolds???

What alternate solutions would you suggest

"Orange can't find BlackBerry maps But will sell you their alternative By Bill Ray Posted in Mobile, 5th September 2008 16:07 GMT Updated Punters getting themselves a BlackBerry Bold from Orange are finding the in-built mapping application absent, and are being asked to pay for the Orange alternative despite the original adverts clearly stating the in-built app would be included. The adverts in question appeared on the Orange website, and used to clearly state that BlackBerry Maps were included on the device, which is advertised as an alternative to Apple's iPhone. Since punters started complaining (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=Bold&thread.id=64&view=by_date_ascend...) that text has been removed from the site (http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/offer/iphone_alternatives?handset=1), leaving a suspicious gap, but not before it was snagged by one disgruntled customer"

I got maps to work by doing the simple HOW TO as described in the link in my previous reply.

It's cracking too!
