My blcakberry 9000 does not tell me if i've had a missed call if i'm on the phone to someone else...can this be fixed?

Well, if the call never came through, then it is not missed, is it?

It is actually not received. Does your phone show another call coming in while you are on the phone?

If you ignore the second call, will it go to voice mail or not show as missed either?

Very true!!

In answer to your questions, no, my phone does not show that there is another call coming in so I don't get the option to ignore.  And I will only be notified that a call has been missed if they leave a voicemail message.  As I use my phone for business I would like to see all missed calls if possible.

So for one, you need to inquire of your carrier if you have the "Call Waiting" feature provisioned on your account.

On your device, press the Green dial key to enter the Call Log > Menu key > Call Waiting. What do you see there?

On your device also, still at the Call Log, press the Menu key > Call Logging > and see if Missed Calls is checked. Do so and save.
