there was a 2nd & more stable leak - 6.0.0.358 - & it works great. No need to upgrade to the 9780; time to wait for something that will be like the Droid Pro. Rumors are out - Pluto - that RIM will bring back the Bold 9000 form factor with all of the upgrades of the 9800, including a touch screen. with the new OS 6, I can now wait.
Here's a link but I'm not sure if the download is still avail

How does that compare with the 9700 - is it wider / longer / deeper? I've only ever owned the 9700.
Thanks

I don't know. I have not used that link as I do not know if it result in a version of the OS that is tailored for that specific organization.

If you download os of a different network, you have to delete a file named vendor.xml before you can install it on your phone.
The file is in the following location:
For windows x86 (32-bit)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\Apploader\
OR for x64 windows (64-bit)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research in Motion\Apploader\
Delete the file named vendor.xml
In the same folder, run Loader.exe, which will install the new os for you.
It is recommended you make a manual backup of your data via Desktop Manager, but update the os from Loader.exe.

Hello,
I just wanted to add some info. For BES blackberry users (9700) I got some users at my company that upgraded it by themselves to version 6 and they stopped receiving the company emails, but their other inbox continued to work fine (ex : hotmail, Gmail, etc.)
I had to redo the Activation Enterprise so they could get their business email again.
So for BES users check with your IT before upgrading to OS 6 cause you might have some surprises.
If you have a way to make it work without making the Activation Enterprise failed, I’d like to hear it J
Thank you
Laurent
