Phone # includes extension - can it be avoided?

Hi all,

I love the idea of receiving a message, and any phone number in the message is available to dial immediately - that's fantastic.

However, if I receive a phone number with an extesnsion after it, I dial it, but instead of an automated system that will accept the extension tones, I get a live person, is there a way to stop the extension from dialing mid-call?

Thank you!

Please use plain text.

Your pre-porgrammed extension should have a WAIT symbol in front of it, rather than a PAUSE.

With a WAIT, you then initiate the extension dialing yourself.

A PAUSE disal automatically after a given number of seconds.

Re: Phone # includes extension - can it be avoided?

Ahhhh cool - thank you JSanders!

Your answer brings me to two more questions:

1 - Is there a default method that gets used when extensions are in email, and if so, can this be changed by a user?

2 - If PAUSE is used, can it be interrupted?

Thank you again!

OH you're dialing from an email.

If you were to save that number in your contacts, you can program the WAIT before the extension.

I don't know how to interrupt the pause in it dialing automatically from touching and dialing from an email, sorry.
