I have recently bought blackberry bold 9700.
when i turn it on it shows the logo of vodafone and i am using reliance sim in it.
The internet is working fine in it but i am unable to use the BBM messenger and other Blackberry services.
Also i tried to use them by recharing my phone with one day unlimited pack of blackberry services but it didn't worked.
Only capital EDGE was showing in the network.
When i tried to do the email set up it showed me that your device is not registered with wireless network.
Also my friend from whom i bought this phone told me that this phone is unlocked from vodafone so vodafone will not work in it.
Please tell me that how to use the BBM and other blackberry services in my device.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
First, you and your friend need to review this:
Make certain that ALL STEPS have been fully and properly completed.
After the above is complete, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you will need to work with Reliance concerning why your BB is not properly registering to their network.

Thanks but my device is all new.
Actually he works for vodafone.
And further i have already tried with host routing tables registering and hard reset but then also it is not working.
And when i spoke to reliance executive they told me that your PIN is not released from vodafone and still vodadfone logo is showing on startup screen thats why the phone is not compatible with reliance and when i asked them for some wayout they just simply said me that there is no wayout.
Pls help me as i am new with blackberry.

And when i spoke to reliance executive they told me ... still vodadfone logo is showing on startup screen thats why the phone is not compatible with reliance
That is incorrect. The initial boot-up "splash" screen will always show the logo for the carrier for which the BB was originally manufactured (if that carrier uses the "splash" screen...some are blank). But, it means nothing as far as usability on other carriers. Rather, being properly unlocked is the first step...see this helpful thread:
Further, some specific BB models are made to work only on certain carriers...but I have no way to know if your specific BB falls into such a category...perhaps your friend can find out. Of course, the fact that this "executive" has now given you incorrect information causes me concern as to the accuracy of anything else they may have told you.
And when i spoke to reliance executive they told me that your PIN is not released from vodafone
That is the most important fact. And it is true. Each BB has a unique PIN. Each PIN can be registered to only one carrier BIS system at any given moment. So, if Vodafone still has that PIN assigned to their system, then Reliance cannot create the necessary BIS accounts to enable your BB to function on their network. Whoever has authority with Vodafone must cause it to be fully released before you proceed any further.
when i asked them for some wayout they just simply said me that there is no wayout.
At the end of the day, Reliance owns their network. If, therefore, they should say (for any reason, not just the inaccurate reasons they have so far given) that they will not allow that specific BB onto their network, then there is nothing anyone else can do. After all, they own their network, and can decide to forbid anything they choose to.
