Problem connecting Email

This is the reply I get when I try connecting my email account "your device had a problem connecting with the server", I have tried hard reset..., what else I need to do?

What type of email account are you trying to setup?  Also do you have any other email accounts setup on the BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone?
