Problems with setting up Bold 9780 E-mail Accounts

Hey guys, I am kinda new here and I've been a proud user of Blackberry.

 

However, I am currently facing an issue with setting up my E-mail accounts on my Blackberry.

 

1- Whenever I go to the E-mail setup, it says "Checking For Updates"

2- Directs me to the Browser in order to download the update

3- Once I do the update, my phone just freezes and does not reboot after a long time. And even if it does reboot, the home page does not load

 

I had to reinstall the OS several times and now I can't even set up any E-mail accounts because it just brings me back to the "Update".

 

Please help? I need to be able to receive e-mails on my device.

I have been having the same problem was hoping for some help. I havent been able to get my emails for over a week now.

Same here. I can't spend hours everyday only fixing such a stupid phone.

Same here with me. 

I did have a problem once before, restarted it and it worked fine for me.

 

Then came in to add another email again and it still doesnt work.

Ok here is a quick fix for some of you..

 

From your browser, go to mobile.blackberry.com. Select your country of choice, then go to Communicate>Email. Scroll down to Other Personal Email and click on Integrate Now, then Launch Email Setup. You should be able to integrate your e-mail accounts that way until RIM has fixed the issue.

I tried the quick fix, it didnt work for me.  Got a HTTP Status 500 error, with a bunch of JAVA script on the screen.  My email has been down about a week too.

Make sure have already susbcribed to either BIS or BES.

How would I know the differences between if Im suscribed toeither BES or BIS?

 

I decided to change my password, but I guess I mustve typed it wrong and it couldnt go through that it deleted my entire data on my phone and had to restore everything. Except that when trying to syncronize my email accounts to my phone, it wont let me. I even tried the going into mobile.blackberry.com to intergrate email accounts that way but i the same keepgetting HTTP status 500 errors with a bunch of JAVA script on screen.

I remember I got the http status thing page when I didn't activate my Blackberry package, so without the package you can't really set up your email. But in your case, I have no idea because it seems like you're already subscribed to a package since you can connect to the internet.

and by the looks of it. I am receiving partial of gmail account email on my phone (i guess it had frozen while trying to syncronize it but I can't send nor create new email accounts into my phone.
