I manage the technical side of live web streaming for a large church, and we recently added the capability to stream to (some) BB devices via RTSP. As a convenience, we added the RTSP URL as a hyperlink on our main site. One of my beta tester guys told me that the URL works, but only when he pastes the URL in manually. When he clicks the RTSP link, it gives him problems (although he wasn't specific about the exact nature of those problems).
"I’ve confirmed the stream works on a BlackBerry 9700 running OS 5.0. I do have some issues clicking the “RTSP” link from the sidebar on live.cor.org page, but if I paste the “rtsp://iphone.ec2.cor.org:1935/live/iphone” link into my browser, the media player opens up and after about 15 seconds of buffering, it works like a champ."
If anyone else can test this and report back, I'd love to hear from you. Link is at http://live.cor.org and live video is available on Sundays from 9:30am to 1:00pm and 4pm to 7pm, Central time (GMT-6).

It's good to hear that you have been able to set up the live stream. Good work. We are having to make the hard choices of who is going to be left out and who will be included. Bandwidth is limited.
The media player came up when I clicked on the link and when I entered the URL in the browser. No video played in either instance. It gave the old unsupported format message. Maybe it was no longer live streaming.
I took a look at your site and found one thing that stood out as odd. Some of your links give a file extension an some do not. When I want to access a .mov that is what I put down in the hyperlink. When you wanted to link to a .pdf you made sure that the file extension was included in the url (at least ten times this was done.) Why then is not the file extension of the rtsp stream amd the mms stream included? Google includes theirs in the hyperlinks on their mobile site. They stream .3gp files. Maybe its nothing since the media player on my BB came up when I tried the link. By the way, the RTSP link doesn't use an onclick or a target like the rest.
Be encouraged . You have a site that you can be proud of. The video looked good the audio sounded good. There are plenty of resources available. Good job. You guys have been at this for a while now. I'm sure you are used to complaints. We are our own worse critic. How about a mobile version of the site since you are streaming to mobile devices. They also load a lot faster. Keep on moving foward.
